Angel invented a category. When it arrived in 1992, no fragrance had placed caramel and chocolate in a composition alongside jasmine and positioned the result as prestige. Bergamot and pineapple open it with a brightness that quickly becomes something more complex — ethyl maltol, the molecule responsible for Angel's signature, begins its work early.
The heart is honey and jasmine held within a gourmand framework that, three decades later, still does not have an exact equivalent. Caramel, chocolate, and vanilla in the base are anchored by patchouli, which keeps the composition from collapsing into sweetness. The result is something that is at once indulgent and structural.
